Deere 333D needs engine... hole in block!

Got a 2012 333D that has a connecting rod poking out of the block. Ran fine and then it suddenly locked up and died. This machine has the JD 5030HT engine (5 cylinder). Any have much experience with these machines or what possibly caused it? Also any ideas where to look for a replacement engine? Thanks!
