My dipstick tube broke off flush at the block. Anyone know if this thing is a press fit or if it's got an adhesive or anything coming from the factory? What's the best way to pull the broken piece out? Picture shows old and busted vs new hotness.

Yes it is pressed in and has adhesive on it. If the piece is still in the dipstick bore of the block, you can
1 - try to thread something into the piece and pull it out or
2 - drive it into the block so it falls into the pan. This will not hurt anything to let it lay in the pan.

If the bottom of the dipstick already fell into the pan, then just install the new one. Use Loctite 609 on the tube when installing. Deere does have a special tool for installing the dipstick (JDG1658).
