1987 D6H my hyd oil was low cant find any external leakes is it possible for it to leak into the bell housing it is diff steer its a 5HF

Is the belly pan full of dirt? It can hold a lot of oil before you notice a leak. Not sure about the bell housing.

yes it is possible also the steer motor is a possible source as well
But have you checked your compartment levels to confirm?
