Lift both wheels on the side of the noise off the ground and turn the tires back and forth listening for the noise. Make sure the parking brake is off. On the same note I'm not sure how your parking brake works. Maybe it could be causing the noise? Wouldn't hurt to check both sides. Put some blocks under the back of the machine and tilt the bucket down. It will lift all the wheels off the ground. Block it up if you do anything other than just turning the wheels back and forth. My skid steer has an odd chain set up with only 1 chain but when the chain gets too loose it will hit the bottom of the chain case. It's mostly noticeable when in reverse at higher speed. Tightening the chain too tight isn't good as it puts too much stress on the drive motor. Is the chain case oil at the proper level and is it relatively clean with no signs of water in the oil? If there's a drain plug, you could drain a little to check for water. Chains can sometimes get a stiff or sticky link that might click. Hopefully it's not a bearing where you have to pull an axle or a drive motor issue.

my 226 skid steer makes a clicking noise on the right side is it a bad bearing ?
I did both side bearings on a 236 for a clicking noise, no evidence of the bearings being bad until it was all apart. Outer bearing was rusty from a bad seal inner bearing was still greased iirc.
