Anyone have any tips on re cutting the seal lands on the king pin sockets on the axle housing ends where the outer "c" pins to housing? I have run into a no longer available housing. The bearings went and kept running until all the bearing rollers left thus the shaft on the cap is all that kept it from falling off.The bearing race is still intact but the area where the seal runs is ground down to nothing.
Thinking of just welding the land up and using a die grinder to shape it up as to hold the seal. Has any one else been here before?
