Has anyone seen complaints of high oil consumption on c13 engines in cat 980 or other equipment with the c13?
Serial prefix MGD.

My question has been answered with further investigation.
12000 hrs on engine. Burning 2 gallons in 9 hours.
Inspected turbo found ok.
Did cylinder cutout a and noticed some smoke at turbo exhaust side until cylinder 4 is cutout.
Removed exhaust manifold and found number 4 port wet with oil
Head will come off next.
Blowby is steady and slightly more than I like to see.

Not sure if you know history or not but would be curious to know what engine oil samples have been showing and for how long.
