Cat 980M high engine oil consumption

Can you define "High" please.
Has anyone kept records of top up oil added between PMs versus litres of fuel burned.?
AFAIK it's the only reliable way to measure engine oil consumption.

My question has been answered with further investigation.
12000 hrs on engine. Burning 2 gallons in 9 hours.
Inspected turbo found ok.
Did cylinder cutout a and noticed some smoke at turbo exhaust side until cylinder 4 is cutout.
Removed exhaust manifold and found number 4 port wet with oil
Head will come off next.
Blowby is steady and slightly more than I like to see.
