Has anyone ever done one of these? It looks like a pain in the ass and I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations on how to move forward on removing it because I don't see how you slip the muffler out from the turbo as there is no room to move the thing in any direction. Anyone got the service manual procedure?

Take the band clamp off, you should be able to wiggle it out. If nothing else take the nuts off the studs on the three bolt flange on the turbo as well as the band clamp.

Just take the counterweight off, then the partition between pump and engine.

And #8 varies between original, replacement, and aftermarket.
