Has anyone else had the joy of a blown head gasket on a CAT 289D or other machine running a 3.3B engine? Mine has Less than 400 hours. If you have, what all did your dealer do to repair? Thanks
It's been at dealer for weeks. 2 head bolts weren't properly torqued. They didn't pull oil or coolant samples. Visually inspected it and replaced gasket
It's a straightforward job apart from there being three different thickness head gaskets, and you have to use the right one. If you are struggling with parts through Cat, they should be available from Kubota.
