Had one that over heated and sheared the crack gear key off and jumped time bent a few push rods put it back together and it's still running. Probably not the right way but the machine wasn't worth rebuilding the engine

We got it all back together tonight (finally), anxious to bring it to life. Started going through the startup procedure that came with the new engine, and can't get any oil moving. The procedure said to crank the engine (no fuel) in 20 second intervals to keep from overheating the starter, until it shows at least 10 PSI oil pressure. After at least 20 times cranking, still no sign of oil pressure. checked the gauge port and the oil filter and no sign of oil at either.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It needed to be primed. We pumped about 2 gallons of oil in through the Oil Pressure Switch port. We now get 30 PSI cranking with the starter. Now to bleed the fuel lines and see if it will start.

I hope when you put the cover back on the engine you used loctite red preferred on the bolts behind the cam. Seen many a bolt come loose and shear the crank key and break the cam off. Back in the day at the dealership we used to pull the cover at 500 hours service and check them for loose, submit a warranty so no charge to customer. Sometimes it makes a mess of all the gears.

Same machine, next problem. The oil temperature sender on the engine has failed. I can't find any reference to it in the Case parts catalog and after 45 minutes on the phone with the dealer, they sent me a temperature switch, not a sender for the oil temp gauge.

Can anyone point me to the correct sender?

What is the exact model of your 590 ? SN ?
What tier is the engine ?
There are 10 different parts books for 590SN's.
It is a Model Number 590, Product Identification Number JJG0205506
(original) Engine Serial Number 44573831

It is the sender on the left, the one on the right is the water temp sender.
