Bomag K300 engine questions

I've got a Bomag K300 compactor with a blown engine. It's a Cummins 555. I've noticed that the K300 comes with one of three engines, Cummins 555, Cat 3208 and a Deere engine of some sort. Which Deere engine is used and does it have the same mounting brackets and bolt pattern as the Cummins 555? I'm tired of these throwaway engines (555 & 3208) and my Dad is parting out a bunch of Deeres and I'm trying to figure out how to put one in simply. Any suggestions?
