Hi Mark, if you are still having trouble try posting your serial number and that can help others get the correct information related to your machine to help diagnose the issue. If the set up was stuck in float I would think that it would not have any lift as well.
Best regards

Lift works OK I assume? When you raise just a little real slow, does it drop a bit first?

Going by the hydraulic schematic the boom up and down operation should have a main relief stall pressure of 3300 psi. All I can see is an anti-cavitation check valve that could disrupt the boom lower function if the check valve was stuck open or had damaged seals which may cause some bypass to occur.

Take a look at the pdf info attached for the location and arrangement of the cartridge valve assembly. The check valve should be spring loaded shut and you should be able to push it open with a pen or anything similar.

The cartridge is most likely not serviceable apart from replacing the O-rings and backup ring so if the spring loaded poppet/ball is an issue you would need to order a replacement from BC and it shouldn't cost you a great deal.

Best regards

Hi Mark
Thanks for the update, I'm very sorry that this did not sort the issue. I will look into the manual further to see if there is anything else that I can come up with that could cause the issue. Just need to clarify a couple of things which I should have done earlier in the process. Could you please verify the following if possible.

1) you can raise and lower the boom arms with the foot pedal but you cannot produce any downward pressure?

2)when selecting the bucket positioning button the light does not activate to show it has been selected?

3) does the boom appear to be very slow to come down with full pedal applied for the down function?

4) Can you feel the detent lock position with the boom down foot pedal when pushing the pedal into the float position? Does the boom go into and maintain the float position?

Best regards

Hi Mark

Thanks for the information. Please ignore my question on the detent for float operation as this only applies to manual operated linkage setups and your machine being selectable type wont have this detent type spool as it is electrically motorized.

From my experience I have seen common issues which are faulty motorized spool actuators, leaking spool seals and the centering spring retainer screw coming loose.
replacing any of these components requires a lot of time and patience as the items are in a very confined space.

you can try running a calibration of the lift actuator and see if this resolves the issue otherwise you may need to investigate further and check the spool, spool seals and retainer spring assembly for any defects.
See info attached.

I'm not sure as to why your float function does not light up. The float function is a optional feature from factory which may require initialization using the bobcat service analyzer software once the hardware is installed so you may need the bobcat techs to look into this one as it could be a software or hardware issue.

Kind regards

as isocell has rebuilt the up and down actuator the tilt actuator is alittle lazy but moving the stick back and forth alittle will get it to move then it works perfect i need to pull it and send it for rebuild also but thats about it
i have already calabrated the up and down actuator when it came back from rebuild that was last year
again thank you both for your time and input it is appreciated
as to bobcat service there about two hours away from me not to mention i could just imagine the service bill on that one lol but thank you gents
