Bobcat 864 Hydraulic temperature sensor fault

I just replaced the hydraulic temperature sensor at the base of the filter housing, but still it displays the 08-21 fault code. The code shows up immediately after a cold start, so temp clearly is not excessive. Anyone have an idea of how to resolve from here?

could also be a bad/broken sensor wire

Continuity on sensor wires checked out okay. Any other ideas come to mind?
