Pretty cool to see those pics of Orford, hauled in there this past summer, can still see remnants of rail line. Those fellas WERE REAL LOGGERS!!!!!

I love that country and these old logging photos. Does anyone know if them lumberjacks ever got a chance to go fishing on Sunday?

My Grandfather worked on the coast in the time of steam. I enjoy looking at the old pictures to see if he is there. I know he worked for Merrel and Ring at Thedosa arm( bay, sound?) as we have one picture with a location.

That last photo of Ring and Merrill; I think that is the first time I have seen a chopped undercut not level, I have seen small chunks tossed into one side or the other to help throw the tree, but until chainsaws, this is the first one I have seen.
