Auger... how to get hole clean?

When I posted the title of this thread I figured a few would get sidetracked with sexual innuendo, etc. Never did I expect it to stray into downunder talk. But since we're here, I'm with old iron... doesn't the dirt just fall out the hole down under.

Has anyone tried the Danuser wobble augers? They look pretty nifty for drilling post holes but might be hard on the auger drive.
