im looking at buying a 1989 deere 644E as a snow machine. Is there any bad things i should know about these loaders before i buy? also any idea what the operating weight of the machine is? and how large of a snow bucket could i attach to it?

thanks!

Sorry, didn't catch this till late. Weigh around 34000#. the standard bucket is a 3.25cu.yd. I don't see why you coundn't put a 4-5 yd on it. I would check blow by on the engine.(6466 Deere-160hp) check tranny, final drive and differentials for leaks, cracks low on fluid. Pin and bushings on the frame and bucket. Last but not least cracks anywhere on the machine.
