4830 sprayer. Park brake and ladder issues

So the park brake doesn’t work on this 4830. Flip it into emergency and nothing happens. I’m guessing electrical, because the brake pedal engages the brakes. Not sure how it’s all tied in yet. Also ladder doesn’t go up when you take off and doesn’t drop when you come to a parked condition. I’m going to guess that somehow they are all tied together. Any ideas or schematics of either hydraulic or electrical on this masterpiece? It’s actually a good unit but has been poorly maintained. A lot. Bad. It’s been getting a lot of work done to it. One of those so at what point do we call it quits kinda pieces of machinery. lol. Thanks for any input.

Must have serial number. They update machines and especially sprayers every 6-12 months and every change is a different serial number. 9 times out of 10 the changes are electrical these days. Your ladder should just be Teed into the park brake hydraulic circuit. When you release the brake a solenoid opens allowing oil to push the brake piston against the springs and that same oil is what raises the ladder. When park brake is applied oil is returned to tank and the springs push the brake piston back against the brake discs. That same lack of oil flow is what allows gravity to bring your ladder back down. Before you move the machine at all I would verify the brake is completely releasing. If it is not then chances are you will have to replace major components in the brake assembly. When the ladder does go up and your are driving the machine make sure the ladder is not moving. If it drifts or creeps down at all then chances are your charge pump is failing and it cannot keep enough oil going to the hydrostatic pump so pressure is dropping. Will need need serial number though in order to get you the correct testing and adjustments procedure

It’s not an exact serial but 2204 I think. Tested the park brake valve. Got magnetism on the coil. Pulled the stem and moved back and forth. 10 amp fuse ok. But everything on the outside of stem was rotten. So ordered valve assembly. Cheaper then stem and coil. Cleaned it up. And bench tested it with power. And ya not good. Sparks. Now it blows fuses and looks to be it’s slightly engaged and sprayer won’t move. lol. This thing is beat. So valve comes in the morning. Hopefully get it put back together and give it a try. Sometimes I get ahead of myself and look for an easy answer but in all reality it’s not a complicated system. But…if this doesn’t solve the problem then have to dig deeper. Brake shoes on left side are loose. Right side inside is tight against rotor. Outside isn’t. Another thing not sure about. Just have to keep beating on her.

So new news. Installed park brake valve. Now it comes somewhat on when the emergency brake switch is flipped to off. Flipped on, says emergency brake is on on the display and it freewheels. lol. And I have no service brakes either. Did change pads and had calipers off to put in new piston.
Tried firing up the sprayer with my foot mashing the brake pedal. Seemed it would come up a bit. Bounce a couple times then nothing. Any ideas?

The light on the dash is probably indicating low brake pressure. You probably need to check to see what you have there. Is the ladder still not going up also? That is a dead giveaway for low charge pressure. I would verify what you have with a gauge before you cause more damage by running with low pressure

Yea. Sorry. The machine was out finishing up some winter wheat. Came back to the yard this morning.
