I’m hoping for some help here. I have a caterpillar 289d that keeps giving me a 1704-5 left drive pump reverse control solenoid current below normal. Which in turn gives E696-3 opposite machine movement commands disabled. It also for some reason doesn’t throw codes until the machine heats up. I noticed there was a wire that goes from the harness under the cab to the sprocket of the track that had rubbed against the frame and became bare. Repaired the wire. Machine worked fine for about 45 minutes then it started giving the codes again. Any help of where to keep looking or what to test. would be greatly appreciated.
