    JD 555G warning light question.

So I finally found a track loader, in fact I've had it almost a year now. It's a 555G and I love it. It runs and operates great. But now I do have a warning light that comes on and stays on for the most part. It is the "TRANS OIL FILTER" light. It goes out at times but mostly stays on. Can...

    JD 555G Warning Lights

I fairly recently bought an 89 JD 555g crawler loader. I have a couple general questions I hope someone can help me with. The dashboard warning light panel is all scratched off so I can't see what each warning light means. Like oil pressure, temp etc. I can see there is a red stop sign...

Hi guys, I think I've finally found a crawler loader I want to buy. Its a JD 555GW crawler loader. The serial number is TO555GW767453. It's the older 13 digit number and I've been having trouble trying to find what year it is. I think it's in the high 80's, low 90's. Can anyone help me out...

Hey guys, thanks again for the input. I haven't given up, just waiting for the right dozer to come along. I know it will be tough but I've never shied away from big projects; building a house, building a log cabin from scratch, building , cutting, grinding, welding on many, many projects...

    Always wanted a dozer!

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have very little to no experience. In a part time job during college, I worked at a rental place. I drove, moved, turned, cleaned, fueled etc, a medium and small dozer. But did no actual work with it. So I'm pretty green. Any advice you have would be...
