Help with 2010 F450 Towing Capacity, Or, Should I buy this truck?

Are you asking if dot would add up the total amount you COULD haul based on axle capacity? In Ohio it's based on how heavy you are not what you're equipment is rated for.

    Where to weld on D-Rings

Every 2ft might be a tad over kill. Every 4ft would be more than enough. I would definitely put them on the top side of the rail, do to the reasons you listed. I would imagine that is tube steel on the sides witch usually means it's a thinner gage steel. If you do top mount them you might want...

    Tract Builder work

I would still charge a mobilization fee to keep them honest, and for sure charge extra extra straight cost for debris clean up. I hate being expected to clean everybody else's messes for hourly wages. It all starts out simple enough, get to one job where for what ever reason there's a huge pile...

    Overload of the Day

I don't see any big problems with there set up. All the floats appear to interlock. The floats appear to be a suitable strength plastic. Suitable dimensions for appropriate footing. Just gotta get your sea legs. I'll bet that plywood is 3/4" and the only thing that I feel would be sketchy is...

best mini excavator opinions on the current market

Wacker makes many decent things. The hydraulics on there excavators leaves something to be desired. I've ran all of there minis up to the 100 series, and they just don't have a smooth feel to the controls. Sometimes it actually delays and doesn't stop where you want it, or delays and then you...

    Overload of the Day

What is the average gcvw of an rv? This one is a little undersized for the load, but its not hard to tell its been photo shopped. Pin height is way to low for that trailer. It's still probably been done though....

This will be an interesting thread moving forward......

It's stories like this that make me feel like my company isn't as half assed as I feel it is. How does a company like this not have the resources to hire competent people. I know it's a tight labor market, but I feel they could over pay a good mechanic and still be ahead.
