2003 New Holland LB75B - Backhoe transit lock problem

I think it may just be frozen up. the ball and socket connect to the boom lock cable, to the lever inside the cab. Being that it was a repaint, some paint may have found someplace it shouldn’t be. Unless someone did something really crazy like welding something, which it doesn’t look like, that...

Maybe after 3 years, someone would have some excellent reviews, good or bad.

299D2 Caterpillar Lift Assist Spring gas Shock Support (Replacement) to Raise Cab

Nope, I was thinking the standard ball and socket type retainers. That just looks like a threaded T. Not something that hard to make. McMaster may have something like that. Or something else, check on Amazon.

    Oil leak under steering wheel

Depends, if the top orbital seal goes bad on the shaft, they will leak out underneath the steering wheel.

Cylinder rebuilt in shop in 2023 had rod nut back off during use.

Of all the calamities that can happen on equipment, a piston nut or bolt backing off, is one my worst fears. I have had it happen a few times over the years, so I am pretty anal about how I put them back. I just did a Kubota cylinder last week and while I despise their compression rings, getting...

299D2 Caterpillar Lift Assist Spring gas Shock Support (Replacement) to Raise Cab

Might want to post a picture of the piece you are referring to, from the other side. I have replaced so many gas struts and pistons over te years, I have a bin full of ball joint connectors and keeper pins, of all styles. If that’s what piece you are talking about?

    1969 580 fuel filters

    Simple things difficult to find

This is kinda funny, as I am simply disgusted with the lack of barbed fittings depth lately. It’s like the barbs are just barely there and I end up using pipe dope and offset double clamps, to get anything to seal good lately.

    D6R modulating valves repeatedly sticking

Can you loosen the bolts on the other side of the driveshaft, to give you some play to help get it on a straight shot?

Komatsu PC300LC-7L Runs For An Hour And Dies

^^^^^^ That’s as helpful as tits on a bull! I would try looking in the fuel tank and maybe blow back through it as soon as it shuts down and see if it starts back up. It could be as simple as something in the tank getting sucked in and causing a fuel supply issue. You could also put in some...

Spec creep and the disappearance of the 10-12 ton class excavators

Most are probably overweight. Not sure why DOT lets them and the guys with 2500’s hauling a 6 ton mini but me and my Top kick hauling a backhoe gets all the attention.

My John Deere Worksite Pro to SSQA Project

When I built my log home in TN the guy that unloaded the trailers, used a TD7 with pallet forks on it. First glance, we all we thinking of calling someone else. 2 hours later I was handing over a couple of hundred dollars for a tip and we were all glomming over the guy.

    Simple things difficult to find

Let’s see, 3 hours making a 3 dollar part, especially if you’re really slow on a lathe. Or running around town, trying 5 different parts places, with fuel prices the way they are. Or finding what you want, for 3 bucks and free shipping from Amazon, if you can get it there and having it the next day.

Definitely a 18” with digger teeth, would be on the menu for the day!
