Has Anyone Heard Anything About Swamp Loggers?

Glad you are doing better Bo! I had you on my prayer list. I really enjoy watching you and the rest of the crew work together. You all have little things that pop up but you are all a team and work well together. I still think about the episode when you drove the old spare KW and you made the...

    The New Freightliner 114SD

Looks "Mackish" to me. Would love to see it pulling a load of logs down a dusty Georgia dirt road.

    crawler carriers

2000 feet of 2/1 slope, do you think it would be possible to reach terminal velocity in the event of a mechanical failure if you were near the top of the slope and something broke?

    Swamp Loggers ?

I am just in awe that you guys keep your equipment running with the conditions that you operate in. The cutter and the skidders do an amazing job staying on the sunny side of the mud but what really amazes me are the conditions of your haul roads and you guys, and girl, keeping those trucks...

    Some of my photos

Nice 12GB, the first track loader I ever operated. Love the old Fat Alice's. I mainly ran it with a stacking rack cleaning up building sites.

Anyone Have Pictures of a Cat D-6 outfitted for Landclearing?

I have run a 16B over a lot of land doing prep work for the Forest Service and for various timber companies. I have only used a KG blade like this one, never a V blade. If the 16 won't shear it off then you can bust the trunk with the stinger and take it down. I have had a small sweetgum roll...

    16b engine repower

    Ford wheel loaders

Had an A66 on the dairy farm that I work on when I was in school, bought 22 years ago, it was a good machine then, we used it to load fertilizer, push manure off of the cow lots and to push and stack silage in the inground silos.I was about 17 at the time but it was light years ahead of the old...

    Fiat-Allis 16b with K/G blade

We have used 16b's with KG blades to do many acres of forest service land. Loved running the 16, prefered it over the 8K. We usually pulled a chopper behind the tractor while we were shearing. If we didn't chop the sheared land we would rake it into windrows with our other 16's.

    Demag CC6800 crawler crane

Mammoet is putting one together right now in middle Georgia on a project for Ga Power. One of the first cranes they moved on the job was a Manitowoc 21000, I thought it was big until the Demag showed up. That puppy is huge. I believe they are putting about 300 feet of main boom on it. The...
