    Anyone in the Twin Cities area who can suggest a dealer for 10.00 R20 tires. Don't want to take out a loan to replace my front steers. I have G186's by Goodyear on now. Apparently these are not made any more. Any suggestions as to a good replacement? Thanks

    I am looking at an L-8000 with an Allison tranny. On the build sheet is the following," Transmission, Automatic, Allison, MT-653 w/3rd gear hold, 5 Spd, 1.0, 16,640". Can anyone exolain what "w/3rd gear hold" means and also "1.0, 16,640"? I'm new to the forum but I have been well received...

    Thanks for the replies. Does anyone know what " w/3rd gear hold" ( see above posting #11 for complete tranny info) means under the tranny listing on the build sheet. Current owner say the truck has 120,000 miles on it, so I'm hoping it's just getting broken in rather then broken down.
