Jlg 800a won’t engage transport higher rpm.

Jlg 800a intermittently won’t engage engine to higher rpm for transporting or driving this boom lift. It does have a etc control that activates an actuator that engages to receive higher engine rpm. Is there a proximity switch that could cause this malfunction? It’s almost as the actuator is...

    Caterpillar 3406e engine oil leak

So the studs with the double nuts on are the ones that I plan on sealing . The one on the right side is very oily. Just have to loosen the mount to slide it down so I can remove the studs to clean them up as they are around 6” long .

    Caterpillar 3406e engine oil leak

This is a photo of the serial number. I will try to post a photo of the fan drive tomorrow. So if I remove the studs, clean them up and just silicone them up , then screw them in that might fix it. Sounds good I will also try that. Thanks

    Cat D6r lgp wcb00132

That’s understood that it would probably be a good to rebuild the engine around this time , that is if the major parts can still be reused. Or else run it till it goes and then swap it with a new engine. I have heard that the c9 engines usually fail when the push rod retaining rings get weak and...

    Cat D6r lgp wcb00132

Hey guys, we have this d6r lgp with 12050 on it. We bought it at an auction and as far as I know, the tranny or motor are still original. Did a oil sample lately and everything came back fine. Also did a valve set on the engine. The oil had about 300hrs on it . So my question is, depending on...

Jlg 800a tower lift cylinder removal .

Ya you don’t want to remove the holding valves while under pressure . (Very dangerous )!! You can actually remove them with the boom fully lowered , as there is a access hole behind the engine . Just have to push the engine forward , then that gives you plenty of space to unhook the lines and...
