    624K fork auto tilt

Was able to start working on it, thank you both for your suggestions, it was debris in the circuit, they did an armored cab swap and used an earplug to cap off the pilot control valve but forgot to take it out and put the line back on, I don’t know how I’m gonna tell this man he nearly lost an...

    624K fork auto tilt

Well gentlemen, as I was going to test those possibilities one of my mechanics got his arm stuck and crushed by the fork and boom cylinders. We were able to save his arm barely, but the TRAM is going to be under investigation for quite awhile, probably won’t be back at it for a few months at least

    624K fork auto tilt

I wish I could post a video of the problem but basically after start up the bucket curls up slowly like the cylinder is losing pressure

    624K fork auto tilt

Thanks for the help! And yes it’s the bucket that’s curling as soon as it starts. The bucket cylinders will retract and tilt the forks up constantly if left idle. Our schematics are pretty bad here so I can’t be for sure if I’m missing anything.

    624K fork auto tilt

Good afternoon everybody, I have a TRAM 624K with fork attachments, which in idle will automatically tilt up as far as possible. I’m pretty new to HE maintenance so I’m looking for advice. The upper fork hydraulic cylinders will just compress after a couple seconds of idling in whatever position...

Elgin sweeper possible short to power

I did all you sa i did all you said and figured out the problem. It was the solenoids, checked everything and plugged them back in according to our outdated schematic and it worked. I appreciate it, haven’t been a mechanic long so this forum has been really helpful!

Elgin sweeper possible short to power

I thought I had a good understanding, the only problem is that we don’t have the right schematics for this model, I’ve looked at the previous models to find similarities but there’s no progress on that front, I had to pretty much figure most of the stuff out myself, it was completely refurbished...

Elgin sweeper possible short to power

This picture is the ground with an ignition wire, It’s best to assume that this ground is somehow connecting to the ignition somewhere along the harness right?

Elgin sweeper possible short to power

I’m still pretty new to maintenance, full continuity to me means the lack of resistance along the wire, as of now I have the front wiring harness removed completely, I just found that there is continuity between a ground wire and an ignition wire as well as an auxiliary pump wire. I’ll start...

Elgin sweeper possible short to power

Goodmorning everyone, I’m not sure if this belongs here but I have a Elgin crosswind J sweeper here that has what I believe to be a short to power somewhere in the circuit. I’ve been working on it the past couple weeks and haven’t had much progress. The problem is when I want to Turn on power...

Backhoe 420D boom will not move

Good afternoon everyone, I’m working on a backhoe 420D where none of the hydraulics are functioning except the outriggers. Before I worked on it apparently someone tried to operate it with one of the bucket hydraulic lines taken off and it spewed oil everywhere, since then I’ve refilled the...

    624KR Fuel gauge “drains”

the serial number is 625264, in the pictures the fuel level is normal up until I activate the lights and it goes down to 0, happens when I turn the AC on as well. I checked the fuel sender and got normal voltage coming from it, and checked my grounds and they looked good too

    624KR Fuel gauge “drains”

I have a problem with one of our 624KR’s regarding the fuel gauge in the monitor showing fuel “draining” when the lights (hazards, work lights) are turned on, as well as the AC, troubleshooting manuals and electrical schematics give me nothing on this, if anyone has had a similar issue or an...
