    Dipper pressure

    Sounds like arm regeneration on dipper retract to me, oil from the rod end is fed at pressure to the other end to aid in digging power, maybe there is a faulty valve on the regeneration circuit allowing pressure to build on dipper retraction instead of allowing it to flow into the cylinder normally.
