    Likely too late but the reason you having problems with it is the linkage is not being adjusted right and you never ever ever shift out of reverse to high range. Also make sure the clutch brake is not set too tight as this causes shifting problems as well

    There should be any play in wheel. Check to make sure there is no snow or ice built up between wing brace mount and cab this usually happening when bought in side for a while and then taken back out be for it is fully thawed out. Also check the rear draw pin

    from the way you describe it I would get 3 pressure gauges and re check the pressure gauges and re check shaft pressures. The collector caps on the end of the shafts have 3 of 1/8 pipe plugs. The centre plug is lube pressure and the inside plug and outside plug are lock up pressure test ports...

    1985 Champion 720A - will not engage in F or R

    If you are still getting the E4.2 error code check the acc. terminal on the key switch for power down to the micro switch on the bottom of the shifter. I found that sometimes there is a bad connection at the 3 wire connector at micro switch.
