    Quick connectors not that quick

Pushing/tapping the ball on the male connector end against a hard surface will release the pressure that is on that side of the connection. Be careful of the oil being released!

Crazy idea to clear a lake

Back in the 70’s, people I worked for had a pond, maybe 100 feet across. They decided to clean it. When they built it, they were thinking ahead and had a pipe through the breast works with a glass plate attached on the far end. Shoot a gun up the pipe, break the glass, pond drained! After a year...

Welcome !! :) In my limited experience with repairing airless sprayers, it is most likely clogged with paint somewhere. When finished using these, you need to clean the hell out of them, and then... clean it some more. They save time on painting, but loose it back on the cleaning. I also run...

    Case 580SL blown steering hose

Thanks, I will double check the hose fittings. If they are restricted fittings then they are built right into the original hose ends. The hoses screw right into the orbital, no adapter, makeing the valve a PITA to remove as the 5 lines have to be removed at their origin and removed while still...

Changing fan belt on a case 580k (circa 1990)

Use a bar, rotate the engine around by hand to expose the bolts. On loose, Just pry the adapter towards the front a little, it doesn’t have to come clear off.

Changing fan belt on a case 580k (circa 1990)

If you remove the 4 bolts with the red arrows you will need to move the pump and the bracket holding it several inches forward to pull the pump driveshaft out of the adapter. This may require disconnecting hoses from the pump, in that, draining the hydraulic system. It's been suggested that you...

    24 valve cummins

Ford F550 work truck blew the oil line on the turbo. Dealer pulled the cab off to replace it. Apparently Ford designed it that way and it's not as bad a job as one would think. So they tell me! o_O
