    What's your hoe doing?

Planning for winter, when not plowing snow, I'm going to go through the hoe, starting at the bucket, and replace pins and bushings. Bought a solid machine, she's just at that point.

    John Deere 310SE Paint

Good post, I just bought 2000 310SE. What are people using to match the original construction JD yellow? I never realized there were so many shades of yellow!

    I'm back :)

Well, after divorce took all my toys I'm finally back! Rebuilding life again. Just bought a 2000 JD 310SE with 3500 hours. 3 years newer than my last one and 2000 less hours. This one has working AC but no air ride seat or plumbing for a hammer. It does have 4x4 and extendahoe. I'd like to...

First hose replacement adventure (JD 310SE)

I'm in the country too! When I saw the inventory of fittings at JD and the huge rolls of hose, I guess I saw $$$ overhead. Watching him make the hoses, it sure didn't seem like a lot of expertise was required. After watching the first one made, I'm pretty sure I could have made the next two...

First hose replacement adventure (JD 310SE)

Well I got a little crazy and banged into a branch. Got to replace my bucket cylinder hose and the two extendahoe curl hoses at the top of the dipper. My closest JD Const Equipment dealer is an hour+ away. Thankfully I was able to take them to the local JD farm equipment dealer to get some...

    JD 310SE exhaust smoke

I read about ride control too, mine doesn't have that option. Sometimes I'll scoop up a bucket full of dirt before I go to balance out a little.

    JD 310SE exhaust smoke

On the whole smoke thing, I checked my air filter, looked brand new. I'm not losing antifreeze so I'm not worried about a gasket leaking either. Doesn't use oil and the oil looks and smells normal. No moisture building up on the inside of the filler cap. I suppose I could send in an oil analysis...

    JD 310SE exhaust smoke

dieseldog, thanks for the thoughts. The equipment on the farm was ours, and we took care of stuff very meticulously! That's why I look into very little thing. I like to head off problems before they become problems! Sounds like I shouldn't worry about the smoking on this one. I really like...

    John Deere 310 SE Project

Hi Fred, I really like the looks of that bucket on ebay. I'd buy the side cutters right way to make your side cutting edges last forever. All the big excavators I ran in the sand mine had them. Attaching a picture. I see you have 4 bolt holes on each side to bolt them on. Wish the bucket...
