    You will probably need to remove the covers over the tension spring, clean all the dirt away, and then you will find the grease fitting at the front. This fitting is normally concealed under the small cover at the front of the spring cover.

    Well, I don't know. When I assembled mine I put the adjusting nut on with only 2 threads. With the top cover suspended and free to move a bit, I was able to visibly engage the adj bolt onto the brake band and then lower the cover in place. I had a come along supporting the cover.

    The adjusting bolt should be assembled in the top cover. When you lower the top, you must engage the bolt cross pin into the brake band hooks.

    Mmy seat bracket was removed as well as the fuel drain on the left side clutch.

    All components have to be assembled on the cover before lowering it in place. Notice section #3 of this post to get an idea. As you lower the cover into position, use a long screwdriver to attach the brake band. You MUST be able to suspend the cover about 1 inch while you attach the brake band...

    When I rebuilt mine I didn't see a kit offered in the parts list. I had to purchase all the individual pieces.

    Before you pull the water pump maybe remove and test the thermostat. It may not be opening up properly.

    I dropped the pans on my Komatsu and found the original wing nut for the air cleaner, a 38 bullet, and a spare key for the start switch!
