    2006 Cat 963C high/low switch

As far as I know, you should be able to change speeds on the fly, (but I could be wrong on that) The neutral position switch functionality is part of the calibrations so it should have been checked. Question to the OP - Did the mechanic spend about half an hour running the tractor up and down...

    2006 Cat 963C high/low switch

Presumably the mechanic has verified that the switch is working via ET? If that's the case then there's nothing really that can go wrong electrically. If he has replaced the ECM then he should have carried out the calibration procedure. Top speed is set during calibration to 5.9 mph but it can...

Galion 125 crane, rotary valve takes 10 of #8 and one of #7 there's 10 grooves on the cylinder, where does #7 oring go?

My best guess is that it goes at the bottom as a dust seal and someone has got the callouts in the parts book mixed up. Is there any kind of counterbore or chamfer in the bottom of the outside housing? Also, I think this may the first time I've seen a swivel with plain O rings for the main...

Welcome to the forum Jeff. I watch your youtube. You have some entertaining stuff. I'll go and review your video on the swivel.

    Service code on a d6t

The OP's machine has the 3306034 sensor group due to there being a serial break at THX22180. It looks like this sensor group does use at least some Ampseal style sensors. However, in both sensor groups, the ECT sensor is 2 pin so the plug in the photo is for something else. Engine oil pressure...

    Service code on a d6t

I think that's an Ampseal connector which has lost its cover and had the locking tab broken off. They're typically used on the newer Perkapillar engines.

    Splitting Cat D6N track

It looks like your machine left the factory with System one undercarriage. If it still has System one fitted, and, if you are lucky, you should see a link that looks like either one of these two. If so, remove the track pad and knock the links off with a hammer and punch. If all the links look...

299D3 Track Tensioner, how to unstick?

A couple of possibilities. Dirt or something is jamming the slide assembly. Recoil spring through bolt is broken. Adjuster piston is seized. Either way, you need to pull out the adjuster slide and see what's going on.

What are the differences in a Cat C/CR/e

LC usually stands for Long underCarriage. That said, I don't see any mention of a 305E LC in SIS.

    Cmark's random photo thread

The question sometimes arises of how to prime a new hydraulic piston pump. Here's a typical example of filling through the case drain outlet.

Anyone knows what's the usage of these plates

That will be a scraper bar for a roller with detachable padfoot shells. When the shells are removed, you install the scraper plates instead of the teeth.

    303.5 Dead hydraulics.

Another thing to consider. Disconnect the delivery hose from the pilot pump (3). If you have zero flow with engine running, you probably have a failed pump drive coupling.

259D 14 Pin Machine side tool connector harness

This should be what you're looking for. But you won't need the joystick. Your machine already has it.

    973c codes

Those sensors are expensive. However, pro-tip, if you carefully scrape the paint off the sensor, you should find a part number for the sensor itself and not the whole assembly. This should be much more affordable and you can then splice the new sensor wiring onto the cylinder. The metal...

Need engine for D8N. Is the dozer version special ?

Your engine is the same arrangement number as the OP's engine. All the information in this thread will apply to your situation.

    CAT cross reference

No information on SIS for your machine - presumably grey market. However, there is this in the Cat filter search - 1208757. And here it is in a parts manual. Ref #3. Does it look like yours?
