Genie GS-4390 Hydraulics or Electronics Issue

My issue ended up being a loose wire to the alternator. It was only by trying everything and some luck that I figured it out. I never was able to find out how the system determines when the backup hydraulic pump is used, I assume the intermittent alternator connection did some strange things...

Genie GS-4390 Hydraulics or Electronics Issue

Hi, I have a Genie 4390 rough terrain scissor lift that has become unusable. It is the gas/propane version with the Ford 425 fuel injected engine. It is 2004, SN: GS9004-41818 so an earlier model. The machine has two hydraulic pumps and manifolds, one for drive and one for all other...

    Backwards tracks on Case 850C

Any tips on the master pin removal, other than a punch and big hammer? From the parts diagram there is a pair of belville washers that act as seals between the links around the pins. It looks like it would really be hard to get those washers in there to put it back together if I make it that far.

    Backwards tracks on Case 850C

So I just bought an old Case 850C to do some work on an 80 acre property. The undercarriage was rebuilt fairly recently by the previous owners, a pipe laying company, and they definitely put the tracks on backwards. I believe they did the work about 5 years ago, but hardly ran the machine. A...

    New (to me) Case 570MXT

Thanks for the tips! I've found that if i turn the front wheels while in neutral it disengages softly, I will try lifting the wheels with the loader as well. I typically only use 4x4 sparingly, for example to get a full bucket when scooping uphill but not for driving around. Is it 'correct' to...

    New (to me) Case 570MXT

I posted a month ago when I was looking at this machine, and I got it now and put it to work. It's a Tier 1 Case 570MXT turbo with cab, PTO and front hydraulic coupler. It has about 4900 hours and was at a tree nursery it's whole life before I got it. I've changed all oils and filters...

Looking at a Case 570MXT Turbo

I ended up buying it, for a final price of $15,000 due to findings at the dealer inspection. The dealer does not think 4x4 is engaging, and thought next steps would be electrical diagnosis. They also noted that it "hits hard" when the shuttle is shifted into gear. They thought that that was...

Looking at a Case 570MXT Turbo

I used to live in So Cal, but I moved up to Washington a year ago. If only I knew I needed a Gannon back then... Used to see a lot of skip loaders in LA. Maybe I can get a friend to drive one up if there is one for sale down there. If you can find the info for that shop, it would be awesome...

Looking at a Case 570MXT Turbo

Thanks for the tips. Been looking for the box blade, it will be a search. The cheapest new Gannon copy is the Bison 210-1, which would run me $3600 near by. Priced rear tires as well, and installed they would be $600 each for Titan R4's if i bring them in to the shop. Filling them with bio...

Looking at a Case 570MXT Turbo

I've been hunting for a skip loader with cab, which is rare on the west coast, and now looking seriously at a 2004 Case 570MXT Turbo. Its far away, so I am going to have the local Case dealer do an inspection on it. The machine has 5000 hrs and they have lowered the price to $17,000. Shipping...

Hitachi ZX60 Dirty Final Drive Oil

Hitachi ZX60 Dirty Final Drive Oil

Thanks for the advice! Sounds like I should order some new drain plugs since they are almost impossible to remove and I will be doing a couple changes in the near future. Previous mechanic may have used a sae hex instead of 6mm...

Hitachi ZX60 Dirty Final Drive Oil

Hi, first post on this forum after years of helpful information. I have a ZX60-USB-5N, which is essentially the same as a Deere 60G. It has 3180hrs, of which I have had it for only about 150. Great forestry cleanup machine, mostly using it for picking up slash and burning it, as well as...
