    residual pressure left in brake system is most likely due to the adjustment of the master cyl push rod being to long not allowing the return port in the mc to be uncovered. should have about 1/8" play between end of rod and piston in mc

    when I tried to drain the hyd tank on my 580c I too thought the drain plug was welded so after a beer or three I realized it was just rusted amazing how beer improves your eye sight

    when I rebuilt the brakes on my 580c I pulled the floor pan the brake assmb's are heavy used rope to lower them to floor much easyer for old guy you may need torch as all my parts were rusted fast not a cheap job but good feeling to be able to stop when going down hill have fun

    I also had a problem with the shuttle handle on my 580c holes where roll pin goes ,took handle to machine shop welded up and drilled new holes much cheaper than case replacement also put a new bell crank fitting's on lower throttle linkage all good now
