Do you by chance know if I have to jack the machine up in order to check or change the final drive oil? Im wondering if it is low on oil for some reason. I saw the final drive oil light come on not long ago and I didn't think about it

    655c series ii

Saw another post similar but didn't see my answer. It's an 05, it pulls to the right fairly hard. Are there adjustments for that? Also, I tightened the tracks since they were a little slack and now it pulls even harder. What can I do?

    655c series ii issues

I have this same exact issue. A guy told me there are bushings inside the machine that cause the plugs to rub the side covers.

    655c series ii issues

Have an 05 655c series ii 5700 hours just bought it. Drive motor plug won't stay tight and keeps leaking fluid. Left and right side drive motors leaking out of the drive motor cover. Not horrible, but definitely leaking. Today I was running it and it shut off randomly and now the right side...

Growing pains. What should I buy?

That's very true. It sounds to me going the 30k machine or a zero tail swing machine is definitely the way to go. I was only thinking the 308 would allow more versatility but just as you said, less stick length to move the dirt, smaller bucket capacity, etc. Ill go for the bigger machine. Thanks...

Growing pains. What should I buy?

Basements are standard 8-9 feet and 2000-4000sq ft as well. The drainage and clearing is about 50/50 as far as how much of the work I take in. I have a tandem dump and I'm about to buy a 20 ton trailer. I'm mainly concerned about the 308 being underpowered. Ideally yes, a 305, and 312/320 would...

Growing pains. What should I buy?

Hey guys. I'm in the 4th year on my own. I finally upgraded to a tandem and have a 299. I've reached a point where I'm doing clearing, residential drainage, basements, crawlspace, etc. Tired of paying rental. I'm torn on what size machine to buy next. I'm a cat guy so I looked at doing a demo on...

Cat 277 left track won't turn

Thiught I'd post a new thread since I can't find anything that is specific to my issue. My cat 277 steers great when it's cold. The hotter it gets the less it wants to steer. I can hold the joy stick in place and it won't turn. I always wondered if it was bc of the wide tracks or if I had...
