Wtb weld on top mount for thumb cylinder

You may be looking for something specific to your machine instead of just a standard hydraulic cylinder mount? Anyone who welds it on for you should also be able to make the mount - that's what I would do if you brought it to me without a mount.

    2001 Hitachi ex35u Questions

Sounds like you are describing the hi-speed. When driving the machine, step on the button and hold it down to go a little faster. At least in my case I have to hold it down - it's not an on/off switch like a hi/low beam on an old car.

Hitachi zx35u (John Deere 35c) dash icon?

Mine doesn't have a button for the higher speed. I did not figure out what the auto idle problem is yet

Toric ring feels impossible to get in

I haven't done one yet, but I was pondering on them the other day. Is is possible that the wire is in place first, then the cover is pressed on? (pressed until the wire snaps into position)

Most effective trenching method for weekend job?

I've used the big trenchers on bobcats. That's the way to go for me - grass grows back and I just want to get done when I'm digging ;)

Hitachi zx35u - new thumb, need couplers

Well the hydraulic cylinder was 2" too long, so a farm scrap took its place ;) The thumb was well used immediately, and for the rest of the day :D

Hitachi zx35u - new thumb, need couplers

Thanks guys :) I'll look around and find out where that is. Putting quick connects on a gauge should do the trick for setting it I'd imagine.

Hitachi zx35u - new thumb, need couplers

Got a thumb on order and need couplers. I'm guessing this is a very common question - which ones do I buy? I did some online searching and came up with these numbers for the ones possibly on the machine. KV13884 sub for 4486229 KV13885 sub for 4486230 Also found listed: AT312877 Does that...

Hitachi zx35u (John Deere 35c) dash icon?

That darned auto-idle never did do anything when I was at the property this weekend. I'll have to look into it more when I'm finally down for the winter.

Hitachi zx35u (John Deere 35c) dash icon?

Sweet - thanks! Could be an automatic one like in my bobcat, just comes on each time.

Hitachi zx35u (John Deere 35c) dash icon?

The correct manual would be awesome :)

Hitachi zx35u (John Deere 35c) dash icon?

Unfortunately no. Maybe it has an automatic timer that's bad? There isn't a left position like on the next model.

That machine is crazy - I like it :)

Hitachi zx35u (John Deere 35c) dash icon?

Dude 1 at the plant: What picture should we use for auto-idle? Dude 2: Just show a piston and crankshaft with an arrow. Dude 1: Brilliant! That will be self-explanatory to everyone. Dude 1 and 2 are stoned......

Hitachi zx35u (John Deere 35c) dash icon?

Turns out that is the auto idle, you are correct :) I missed this on the newer manual because it was so small. I had to blow it up massively to see it. Now I just need to figure out how to start it correctly in cold weather. It doesn't have the pre-heat setting on the ignition switch that...

Hitachi zx35u (John Deere 35c) dash icon?

...ok...dumb question for the day. What the heck is this icon on the left panel?? It lights up...nothing seems to change on the machine? Can't find the operators manual for it, only the zx35u-2 and later... ...upsidedown dash pic...

    Up a creek, no paddle...2020 Takeuchi TL8

Maybe a dumb thought, but if it's brand new, could it be an intermittent bad ground strap due to paint/powder coat in an area that needs to be clean? I'm thinking main battery ground or a large "chassis" ground? My rattled brain is just remembering the electrical gremlins on old ford pickups...

    ...and it's broken. Hitachi zx35u (or ex35u)

Btw, is there a resource for Hitachi that gives a listing for their Egyptian hieroglyphics on the control panels? I found reference books for other companies but not Hitachi. I've had no luck finding a manual for the zx35u. They are all for zx35u-2 and above and the control panels are different.

    ...and it's broken. Hitachi zx35u (or ex35u)

I've been using it while I wait on the new final drive (just put oil in this drive and let it leak out). This was a huge broken down corral filled with rocks, boulders, garbage, oil jugs, metal, various "farm debris" and aluminum cans...and 7' tall weeds. Now flat and empty Used the mini...
