Rebuilding a hydraulic pump from a JCB 506c loadall

Ok so I installed the shaft seal, and replaced all the other seals as well, I didn't have a torque spec on the "clamping bolts" (is what I understand they are called) so I torqued them to 45 ft lbs. The shaft nut with woodruff key I tightened to 100 ft lbs. I bolted it all back together and...

Rebuilding a hydraulic pump from a JCB 506c loadall

Seal kit came in today, Got the case and seal in the freezer right now, probably going to assemble tomorrow. We will see if the freezer trick works. I'm still hoping I was correct in determining that the installed seal was backwards, the U face was facing outwards. I do not know who replaced the...

Rebuilding a hydraulic pump from a JCB 506c loadall

Makes sense. I understand it too I guess, people providing services gotta get paid. I used to work for a transmission parts distributor when I was young. We would sell seals anywhere from 0.50 to 7.00 each. After working in a tranny shop years later and seeing the shop charging the customer...

Rebuilding a hydraulic pump from a JCB 506c loadall

So I had my neighbor press the shaft out. Boy, that was in there tight. Scared the **** out of both of us when it popped haha. The seal was the culprit, it was torn a bit . Funny thing is I think the seal was installed inside out......I may be wrong, but it's a double lip seal and the side that...

Rebuilding a hydraulic pump from a JCB 506c loadall

Here is the pump, It is a two gear style. I've got it disassembled, the bearings look ok, no scoring or discoloration, gears look ok to me. The leak was coming from the lip seal for sure. I don't have a shop press so I'll have to go get the flange pressed off the shaft sometime to change out the...

Rebuilding a hydraulic pump from a JCB 506c loadall

Hey everyone, so I decided to get my hands dirty again and have a go at fixing a leaking hydraulic pump in a JCB telehandler. It was leaking about a drip every minute, so It was pretty bad. The foreman who was using it said it had been leaking like that for a month. but it only leaked when you...

2004 Genie Z45-25 man lift stalls out after start

Just a follow up on this. I ended up ordering a new throttle body (500$). I had no real way to test it so i figured ah what the hell. Sure as ****, she fired up and sounded....good. She idled for about 5 minutes and I shut her down. I was really happy. So I decided to put the rad back on and...

2004 Genie Z45-25 man lift stalls out after start

Tested the wire with one probe on battery and one probe on disconnected connector. Showed .05 ohms on all 3 ground wires ( 2 on one connector and 1 on the 2nd connector) I did notice that there was some exposed wires behind the radiator, couldn't tell where they went, So I drained the rad...

Ok so One of the supervisors recently replaced the battery not too long ago because he figured the battery was the issue. he also replaced the ground cable . I verified it is good ground. 2004 Genie Z45-25 man lift stalls out after start

Mr John doe, the unable to reach higher TPS. Would that mean that the TPS sensor is perhaps malfunctioning? And crank sync noise, would that be the crank sensor ? I've never encountered these codes before. Thank you for listing them though.

2004 Genie Z45-25 man lift stalls out after start

Presumably there should be some resistance at the oil pressure sensor correct? I ohm it and there is none currently, even when off. is this perhaps an issue?

2004 Genie Z45-25 man lift stalls out after start

I tested the Orange w blk wire at the alternator for volts when running, shows 7-8 volts. I unplugged the oil pressure sensor just to see if the engine would keep running and it didn't. ran for a minute then stalled out. I can't get that oil pressure sensor out without removing the manifold or...

No, it actually only runs on high idle. if you put it to low idle, it stalls right away. Turning has no effect on the stalling
