Hydraulic issues and questions on 1975 Case 580b

Service Motor co @ Dale wi would be able to get that filter for you. As far as hydr troubleshooting, it would be best to have a pressure gauge and or flowmeter to know whats all going on. But just a guess, cylinder seals are a wear item. And wear out, and then leak down or settle or leak...

    GM 366 fuel pressure?

I guys, having a hard time finding what my fuel pressure should be on my 1992 GM topkick with a 366 TBI. I currently have 30 psi across the board. Idle and high idle. Just trying to verify if this is correct? It appears the pickups were in the 9-13 range? And there are other systems in the...

Hydraulic Surging......... Stumped........ Model Genie S/N Z45004897

My guess,, would be electrical. I might start checking the switches on the boom, that activate axle locks. And associated wiring. These are wearable components. I think there are two. One towards back of machine, and one near the front. Good luck.

    Kubota SVL75 vs. Case TR270

Both good machines. So you won't go wrong with either one. When I was still selling (2012) I sold both, and Customers just LOVED the Kubota controls and how smooth they were. With skidloaders customers always forget that the control levers are both a transmission shift lever & steering wheel. So...

    Case 90xt parts

I think your correct. I had forgotten about that. I think that was around the time they were merging with New Holland. And they thought it would be a good idea (wrong) to use the new holland splitter box behind the engine. So both pumps sat side by side. Rather than inline.

    Central Tie inflation systems

Also kind of wondering how much trouble they are? Hoses sticking out the sides? Makes me nervous in and around the trees. And seems like endless possibilities for air leaks. Lots of connections, plus not sure how long the seals last in the swivel joint at the wheels. Thanks for reply's.

    Central Tie inflation systems

Anyone have much experience with Central tire inflation? I have a large tree spade on a tandem axle, with T ride off road suspension, Full lockers, and aggressive tires. And struggled all last year (wet). Wondering if this is the answer? The online videos are interesting, but they all seem to...

    change controls on a komatsu

Ya I think your right. See its even confusing thinking of the controls. Not to mention operating.

    change controls on a komatsu

When switching controls. The boom and crowd stayed in the same place. It was the swing and bucket that switched hands.

    change controls on a komatsu

Agreed. Usually easier working back from the main valve, to find lines needing to be switched. And yes, if your used to something else. It can be real tricky if your in something different. Good luck.

Adding traction to beavertail and deck

Good morning. Looks like your angle irons on your beavertail have a lot of spacing. I might add extra peices in between as well to help grab more. And as already mentioned I have seen a number of people using the bolted angle iron guides on the insides. And another gentlman has told me to make...

Removing Thumb plate from Excavator Stick

Good morning. Just a reminder, that when you eventually switch to your hydraulic thumb. To remember to make sure it has a circuit relief installed and set low enough. That bucket will be able to push thumb back without bending the thumbs cylinder rod. Love hydraulic thumbs. Good luck.

    IH 466 mechanical massive blowby

Good morning Randy. Just to add another idea. I know back in the day, IH tractors had a problem similar to this. Where is your crankcase breather? In the block? Or valve cover? IH came out with some sort of service bulletin adressing oil consumption. I dont remember the specifics. But a call...

CASE 70X Skid loader boom & bucket problems

Ok. so what we know now. Is pump is ok. Based on your replacement, no change. Assuming oil flowing into valve. levers stroking spools fully. Leaves main relief valve. So I'd check that next. Good Luck.
