    D3K2 red exclamation point flashed

@Nige - I should probably drop the belly pan anyhow to clean the machine. Anything special I need to watch out for doing that? Thanks again.

    D3K2 red exclamation point flashed

@Nige- Thanks for weighing in too. Good question and I am also interested in the answer. Would either of you know if I can access both sensors through the rear panel or do I need to get at them by doing something like dropping the belly pan. Dozers are new to me and I just recently...

    D3K2 red exclamation point flashed

I was hoping someone might be able to help me with a code. I have a 2012 D3K2 (Serial Number AKFF00186) with about 1860 hours. This afternoon the red flashing exclamation point came on for about 3 seconds and then went out. I checked the code and it came up with 2687-08. Was curious if...

    D3K2 Oil Pressure

Thanks for the explanation on the S/N. Thanks also for the oil pressure spec. I feel much better about it and I think you're right. It's sat for a while in my barn and the temp has been getting into the high 40's F in the evening. I will check it after I've run it a bit. Thanks again!

    D3K2 Oil Pressure

Hi Nige, You've responded to me in the past so I appreciate you following up. The number on the machine is CAT0D3K2AKFF00186. I am curious though that the machines are that different that even oil pressure specs might vary between them. Thanks, John

    D3K2 Oil Pressure

I have a 2012 (new to me) D3K2 XL Dozer with 1,900 hours that has an oil pressure reading of 74psi at startup and 72psi after allowing it to warm up for 5 minutes. Didn't expect it to be quite this high and was hoping someone could comment on whether I may have an issue. I recently changed all...

    D3K2 Zerk won’t take grease

Thanks for weighing in. I do think they are correct that the hose leads to the c-frame pivot (5). I have access to and can grease pin 3. Haven’t had a chance to get back to the machine yet but, just can’t figure out how to work on pin 5 without tearing most of the front of the machine...

    D3K2 Zerk won’t take grease

Yes, that’s it. Are there any illustrations that show how much I need to remove to access the other end of the hose? Thanks very much for all your help.

    D3K2 Zerk won’t take grease

Thanks. The illustration is very helpful. The serial number is AKFF00186. There is an oblong shaped metal plate held on with two bolts on top of the angled bracket. If you zoom in you can see it on the angled piece (it’s not labeled). When I take off the metal plate I can see a hose that...

    D3K2 Zerk won’t take grease

Thanks. It’s number 5. Would you know what that is greasing. I see a hose running under the grease point but can’t determine where the grease is going? I can get about 3 pumps in and it builds up back pressure. I did try a grease buster with penetrating oil.

    D3K2 Zerk won’t take grease

I appreciate any help in advance. I recently acquired a D3K2 which has a zerk that won’t take grease. It’s the zerk fitting in the angled metal bracket between the lift cylinder and the tilt cylinder. I took out the zerk and you can see that it is connected to a hose but I can’t see what the...

CAT D3K2 XL Final Drive Allen Socket

Thank you for the additional information. I have the hex sockets on order and will be getting some replacement o-rings. Wasn't sure if I understood what other plugs to remove. I have attached an illustration from the Operation and Maintenance Manual. Is there another plug below the one, or...
