a while ago I got some straight bspp to jic fittings to go into the valve bank and the cylinders.. straights and 90s. then I realized that the metal pipes on my boom have male bspp ends so I would need a bspp female to jic male fitting if I was to go with bspp there. at first I couldnt...

    Graders going where ??

here are a few pictures of a company flooding the road and pads for diamond drills on the lake out in front of my house. this is a pretty slick setup. the one my friend uses for flooding ice roads is similar, but a bit smaller and on a small sleigh type setup so it can be towed behind a...

    Graders going where ??

around here they use big auger pumps, either truck mounted or towed on skids, to flood the roads until there is enough ice. they are usually 18-24" diameter and drill the hole through, then they throttle up and auger the water up through the hole.

John Deere 27D vs Bobcat 425

    Hardwood Project

I have never seen a wheeled buncher operate. seems like there would be so much repositioning compared to a tracked machine where you could reach out and grab multiple trees with the boom before you had to move. what is the advantage of a wheeled buncher? nobody around here uses them, but...

John Deere 27D vs Bobcat 425

I ran a deere 17zts on and off for a summer and never had a problem with it. when I was buying my own machine I was looking at bobcats, but after talking to several people that had ran them and other machines, everyone told me to stay away from the bobcats. lots had good things to say...

    Ax Men

I just watched my first episode of ax men last night and found it pretty entertaining. I am not a logger though, but I was a feller on a forest fire crew for 6 years and dropped a tree or two in my day. so I can relate.. but the yarders and stuff is what I find interesting. haywire...

    Hard Facing pic

I dont mind the arc-air.. you just have to know where to stand, and nobody bothers you when you are on the torch. maybe has something to do with the noise and airborne molten metal. where I work we go through bucket lips, sides, bottoms, tops etc.. like mad. but the welders never...

What are everyones thought on this concept

deere makes levelling bunchers, I wonder why they havent tried a levelling hoe to see if it would sell. I think it would, but then again I am not the one in the market for one, and there would be the added cost lots of companies are making the levelling bunchers, I think they would...
