Box scraper wings for a motor grader.

Hello, Does anyone here use a set of box scraper wings on the ends of a grader blade? I'm looking for something to help carry a little material while spreading sand or gravel and save a few passes while doing it. Just something that will keep material from rolling out and having to be run back...

    Heater Blower Issue Cat 246B

Thanks for the follow-up. It helps to complete the troubleshooting cycle when someone posts the fix. All to often we never hear what the solution turned out to be. :)

    Heater Blower Issue Cat 246B

You might check the vent hoses for blockage as well. A friend of mine has a Cat 247 which was missing a diffuser that allowed stuff to fall into the hose (before he bought it). He disconnected the hose, dumped out the large chunks and used his shopvac to suck out the rest. On a side note...

    Where to buy cutting edge?

One option Not an online source but I hope this helps. Sometimes a more common cutting edge is less money than the exact one for your bucket. I have found that a backhoe edge that is wider than my skid bucket is easier to acquire and costs less than the original replacement edge. The factor...

20,000 lb. behind a pickup safe?

20,000 lb. behind a pickup safe?

Crete I think he means air brake restriction. I have that type of license. I am legal to drive trucks/trailers that do not have air brakes on them. The crazy part was the fact that the combination vehicle tests include air brakes - there is no separate test for the restricted license. So my...

20,000 lb. behind a pickup safe?

KSSS, The motorhome comment reminds me of someone (may have been here) that was bothered by the fact that the RV crowd can cruise past the DOT checks and scales. He said something about buying an older RV and gutting it out and making the rear a flip down ramp so he could haul his skid inside...

Responsibility of truck owner & driver now charged!

This will put some people in a rough spot. Things we all know: 1. It is up to a driver to inspect his truck. How many of us pull a wheel and measure the brake pads each day....? 2. The maint. dept should replace parts instead of cobbling them up to get by. 3. A company should provide a truck...

It appears that the earth platform may have actually steered the silo towards him....RIP

20,000 lb. behind a pickup safe?

I tow a little over 14,000 lbs (trailer included) using a Chevy 3500HD with the larger brakes and tires and feel that is getting towards the upper end of my comfort level. I'm with you Speedpup. It seems that 20 will be asking alot of pickup.

Check the scale on your plans

Joispoi, I was going to say the same thing. A copy machine is not going to print a document to scale like a plotter will. It is never a good idea to measure or digitize off a plan that has been copied. We did a test when I was digitizing site work where I worked up a copied plan to prove a...

I need help locating Takeuchi parts machine.

Thanks, I'll have to check into the bobcat type. If they are the same I will have more machines to get a used one from. I do not have any block right now, my machine did not come with one. I would like to add one because there is no support for the aux hyd connectors without the mounting...

I need help locating Takeuchi parts machine.

Hello all, I am looking to get an aux. hyd. connection block for my TL130. It appears that this block is the same for the 130, 140, and 150 as well as the rebranded Gehls and Mustangs. The 150 seems to use a different mounting bracket but the correct one can be obtained. I have checked around...

    Noise at flat faced coupler?

Craft I couldn't agree with you more about the attachment pressure. I thought I was the only lucky one that had issues with this. I keep a wrench in the cab to crack a fitting on the 4-in-1 bucket because it gets hard to connect even when I have disconnected properly. It always seems to happen...

    Noise at flat faced coupler?

Craft, that is something I had not thought about. I will check it out. Goose, Thanks for the info and warning. I think I will check for a flow restricter then try a new coupler. I did not know about that style of coupler. I sure would like to have a coupler that bleeds the pressure off when it...

    Noise at flat faced coupler?

Hello all, I have a little noise at one of my Aux. hyd. couplers that has me stumped. The attachment is a skid steer Beak which has one double action cylinder on it. The first time I open the jaw (withdraw the cylinder) it makes no noise but a noise happens every time I open the jaw after that...

    MRS scrapers

Try again Hope this works...sorry for the poor quality. It looks better in the scan file. This one was working in the Phillipines in 1991. Brand new out of storage to work on the recovery of Subic Bay Naval Station and Cubi Point N.A.S. after the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo
