    Hydraulic Hose...

Willie and Junk...THANKS for the info. I like the idea of a kit but now I have a better idea of the fitting size!! Thanks again... Paul

    Hydraulic Hose...

Thanks Junkyard...this is on a box scraper cylinder. 11/16" open end fit great and 3/4" was way too sloppy. These have no O-rings and are the 37° style. We don't have a hydraulic shop in town and all Granger and McMaster-Carr show is $$$ stainless. I might just get a can and let it leak and hold...

    Hydraulic Hose...

I need to work on a cylinder and I want to get a couple of caps and plugs for the hoses and cylinder fittings when I remove them... I must be brain-dead...but what frigg'n size do I need to buy for a fitting that takes an 11/16" wrench? These are on the back of my JD 210LE. Just stock JD...

JD 310D 1991, foam oil in Hydraulic Reservoir

Do the hot plate "crackle" test first. If you suspect contamination in the form of water or something else you can send off a sample for analysis to someplace like Blackstone...or or any local machinery dealer. Like Delmer said, foaming of hydraulic fluid is usually caused by contamination...

New to ownership - need advice

You're taking you're loss seriously! LOL Take a pill and get some rest, hopefully you'll feel better in the morning... Give it up...I'm moving on.

New to ownership - need advice

This thread was started by Mr. Whiteside questioning HIS purchase of a tractor for his property. PTO's could be had on 210LE's...hand's down, period...as I have proven, and a myriad of attachments are available as well. Now, whether you like them or not, carries no value here. My...

New to ownership - need advice

Obviously bigger is better when it comes to moving these things but mine was delivered from Sacramento to So. Utah with a F-350 and single wheel/double axel goose neck. The boy had a load! but he got it here... As for Unicorns and 210LE PTO's...

New to ownership - need advice

I've never been able to figure out JD numbering scheme but an LJ is newer than an LE, somewhere around 2010 I think. All 210's seem to be about the same size (about +/- 15000 lb rolling weight)...larger the number the bigger the unit. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. If you get...

New to ownership - need advice

Whew! Looking at your impending project causes me to reminisce...We started as well with a blank slate, on an untouched piece of ground. It has been an amazing, exciting, extremely laborious and expensive adventure that has taken years to complete. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything...

New to ownership - need advice

Unless we own a big construction company, we're not gonna have every machine in the tool box to fit every job...kind'a like having to use a claw hammer for tapping out a paper gasket...LOL Here's my situation, I can only have one machine...I have a 2004 JD 210LE and it has turned out to be...

    555E hazzard / turn signals

Funny it doesn't already have hazzard flashers but remember you probably have brake lights explaining the extra wires to the rear. Mine incorporates diodes as well so as not to back feed the system. Just some thoughts...be careful, trace things out with a multimeter...don't fry your new tractor

Wire ID? 2004 John Deere 210LE

Called my Deere dealer and got the info on factory manuals...about $400 for a hard copy and $250 or so for CD/DVD, $150 for an online subscription for POD or print on demand. Not cheap but absolutly necessary if you're gonna wrench on your own machine...just haven't slung them any cash yet...

Wire ID? 2004 John Deere 210LE

Well, I have no idea where or what that B18 red wire is or what it goes to. Couldn't really identify any other connection except for the battery, even the ends looked factory. If it is a factory connection, it seem nuts they would have it back-feeding around the main battery cutoff, which I...

Wire ID? 2004 John Deere 210LE

After reading about the fire on the unattended backhoe, I looked at the battery cutoff on my loader. Over the years, someone has worked on the wiring...not a surprise. The cutoff switch does not cut off and the system is being back fed by a FACTORY wire connected directly to the battery. This...

    Up in Flames

Now you have me thinking...I have a battery cutoff switch I'll have to trace out. It is factory installed and if it truly isolates the system, I'm gonna start using it. Good information guys...

    Scarifier...

Just a comment... DANG that scarifier is amazing! Formally trained and experienced dirt operators will laugh, but I was watching some YouTube vids of graders working washboards out of gravel/dirt roads and it gave me some inspiration for our road with the JD 210LE. Lock down the scarifier...
