knocking sound when shutting tractor off

so, have you teared it down? but anyways, i agree at 1400 hours it should not be an issue, if regular maintenace is performed it should be at least ten times as much for any major surgery.

Bobcat fuel pick up tube repairs

On the 863 pick up tube is in between pumps and engine. Very nice, usually almost clean, far away out of reach place :Pointhead where might get by rising the cab, then laying on chaincase and trying to reach it. one more possibility, remove generator, and maybe, just maybe its possible to reach...

Bobcat 863 timing belt (deutz bf4m1011 timing)

Injection pumps are timed with a camshaft lock pin, as the same cam drives pumps. So you do not have to do anything with individual pumps as long as you do not remove them, or if you do then DON'T mix up gaskets, as gaskets (of various thickness) are actually used for timing them.

Pulling engine on a 763 Bobcat

yeah i did it on a 863 a few months ago, arround and under the tank - nearly 4 gallons of dirt, rocks and oil.

    bobcat 863 lift tilt problems

One more thing to check, lap bar safety switch, dont remember exactly how that was malfunctioning, but i suppose it could block tilt/lift feature

    bobcat 863 lift tilt problems

I have 863, had a similar problem, mine had isolation of the wires going into selenoid slightly shortened, possibly due to heat from engine, and wires only slightly, but contacted just at the selenoid surface, where they enter its housing. Maybe worth to check all three selenoids. Not really...

Bobcat 863 timing belt (deutz bf4m1011 timing)

It should work just fine on crank, but not on the cam. As for the pin lenght, well, i assumed that engine must be at TDC, and that gave me 52mm pin, but i will go to Deutz dealer in a few oncoming days, for a set of glow plugs, and inquire about the pins as well. Had i knew our local Deutz rep...

Another stucko not really HE, but stuck anyways so, here it goes AN26 with DHL cargo crash-landing on lake, nearby Tallin airport. They were about to land in Tallin, when one of landing gears did not open, they tried to resume altitude, but then engine craped out, and they crashed on nearby...

Bobcat 863 timing belt (deutz bf4m1011 timing)

Absolutely, but i have to say that i got my 863 just because it WAS serviced at official BC service, where nobody cared to change the belt, and when it broke, quoted obscene amount of money for a repair, besides they knew nothing how to install the belt, as they removed injector to try to guess...

Bobcat 863 timing belt (deutz bf4m1011 timing)

Hi deutz folks, after learning from knowledge stored in this forum, would like to contribute some, and hopefully be usefull to others as well. Now, two years ago i got BC 863 with infamous deutz engine, where camshaft which also powers diesel injections pumps, is driven by a belt, and in my...

My 763 was used hard. Now it needs some help

Nice thread, keep the pics coming, more i look at them, more i want to repaint my BC :) Rick, are you sure you need to do it that way? as sandbasting takes off rusty pieces, and if anything left then primers with anticorosive additions like Skikkens Primer Surfacer EP should be sufficient.

    Repairing Bobcat 773

Hi Atco, As i am in similar process of disassembly of my 863 to eliminate a few issues so might as well do chains also as one drive axle seal is leaking, a few questions pop up, how much is too much stretch in chains? does anyone have had them snap? Are there aftermarket chains available or BC...

Would you like to live in a house built on this?

This remainded me of a meeting a few years ago with an experienced homebuilder (30+ years in the biz), so he put forward his idea of properly built footings for a house, namely, footings are laid a year before the actual building goes ahead. His point was that first, over the year they "seat" in...
