    dw20 67c model

Your right Tvan, seemed like most operators back then, took alot more pride in there work. Also there was no plastic on these machines, if it was 100 degrees the steel was 150 easy. made you appreciate cool evening in the summer. some made you appreciate the heat at the house in the Winter!

    dw20 67c model

DW20's are my favorite scrapers! We had three of them and two DW21's building flood control and soil conservation dams. The only problem with the 20's was they had 482 scrapers which the scraper tires would track outside the tractor tires making it a hard pull in sand or any real loose dirt. I...

    The grader I ran

we had an old 12 70d and a 12E 99E . Both were good blades, but the old 70 D pull a windrow alot better than our 12E. I was wondering also i was on 12F and it seems to me that the bar that seperated the front windshields was right in the line of vision when sitting in the seat.

Some Old Iron in Avery Wyoming

I see some of these were taken just east of Cheyenne. There was an old DW 20 tractor there sitting in the back or I thought, but it was one of the few military DW20's or 668 that were 4 wheel drive.

I seen 2 or 3 252's with a bunch of other equipment setting behind a farm house in between Cheyenne and Torrington, Wyoming. probably built alot of soil conservation dams along time ago when the government was paying a bigger part to have them built.

    Wabco scrapers at work

353 pic Thanks bruce oz for the 353 pic. I got to thinking, we was working on a dam in the panhandle of Texas and we had to drive by a well blowout site, they had to dig around the well i would say probably 500' to 700' wide ,1000' long and about 30'ft at the deepest. They used several scrapers...

I'm sure Mr. McAninch would be interested in this deal!

631's Thanks CountryBoy: The old 631B's were good scrapers, but i have to agree with surfer joe. The 631C's in my opinion were the best 31 scrapers. I did'nt run any D's, but i bet there about like the 631E's. To me , they were hard to load, i mean you could stall out a 10N pushcat put easy if...

The scrapers they had were 353's . They were 40yd twin engine paddlewheels I believe. Just was wondering...
