    air tools

Mac/ir air guns, at least in the half inchers. I had some snappy ones, warranty after warranty. Finally pitched it out in a field and farmed it under. It needed the same air as a 3/4 gun. I really like the snappy .375" guns i have though. I like the cp .75 guns, tapered nose cone fits in...

All in a days (or two) work pictures

Both birken and 8922659 are likely correct i think. Dunno about the sodium, thought by now it was a thing long past. If the valve had any carbon holding it open then it couldn't cool, so bent slightly, got worse as gas cut it. See this alot on natural gassers. I have a few heads in the shop...

    Service crane pump

Electric setup. Pack a good battery charger if using crane a ton, plug into wall if possible, if not possible run the truck a few minutes each hour.. I also carry exhaust hose for this... at least this way you have the option of running in an enclosed space.

    Smallest compressor for service truck

I have a mitm 2 stage wheelbarrow, think its a 9 horse kohler engine. Works fairly well. Except when it comes to the 1 inch guns. And the .75 guns will tax it pretty hard, too. I say dead minimum is a 30g tank, 2 stage 175psi, 13 hp. I have a 20hp, 80g on my big truck, an antique ir with...

    Wooldridge/Curtis Wright scrapers any Survivors?

Old magnets pic of that can..... There used to be a couple of these in bozeman, montana. Gramps told me when they were working, they pulled 2x as hard as a cat can, and were broken alot of the time. Working in pretty nasty rock at the time.

The emcos i knew of (2) were really really low hour machines, under 500... awesome condition because they never were reliable enough to do a days work. As far as i know they are both still sitting by a rockpit were they fellow was running a pair of d8 14a's and a d7f... the d8s were reliable...

    Service truck size?

F450 or f550, 99 to 03 with the 7.3 is my current answer. Did the trailer thing, went to a chevy tonner, to a chevy c60, kenworth t600, freightliner classic and back to a crewcab f450. Higher maintenance costs, easier getting around jobsites, easier to park at hotels, grocery stores, gas...

    Job searching newbie

Dealership jobs are cool, but restrictive. Your toolbox and wallet will love the fact you only work on a handful of engines, and line of equipment. Examples, cat truck shop is cat power, some driveline work. Off road john deere, not much other than deere and whatever else the dealer sells...

I had a locate last week, took the driller all over showing him all the pipelines in the area, and made sure he understood none of them were mine. Drilling was done in between two pipelines that arent on any of my maps (dating back to 1931) and nobody else that I know of showed up to do any...
