    Bobcat E35i Door Latch

The E35i cab door handle unlatches the door ok but near the end of the allowable handle movement. It seems that when pulling the handle it should unlatch the door at mid stroke...not near the end of the stroke. Is an adjustment needed?

Wood deck life on gooseneck trailer?

I would like to keep my 9 year old Load Max trailer outside in order to free up some interior shed space; but I do not trust that any sealer will fully protect the wooden deck. How many years might I hope the deck to last if I apply Thompson's water sealer once a year? Or is there a better...

Towing 3.5 Ton - balance question

Towing with a gooseneck trailer with two 7,000 lb axles. With an 8100 lb mini on it plus 4000 lb trailer weight the trailer pulls well and stops well. However, downhill or on the level, any dips in the roadway or other imperfections causes the trailer to jerk the truck fore and aft...annoying...

Wasting time to clean the track roller frame?

With things pretty slow here let me ask an easy one. I frequently get into 2 or 3 inches of water and mud with a Bobcat E35i. Cleaning the mud and grass off of the track roller frame at the end of the day is not too difficult; but does take some time and it can be messy. What harm might...

Questions - Planning to trench in a wet area to install drainage tile

I need to install 4" dia. slit corrugated tile in a wet area below a pond. The wet area covers about 1/2 acre or more. I will be using an E35 and have three buckets to choose from: 16", 24" trenching and 39" grading/ditching bucket. The soil is mostly saturated clay with some areas of top...

Bobcat E35i hydraulic oil cooler air bleed port id?

Service manual instructions for changing hydraulic oil on the Bobcat E35i include bleeding air from a port on top of the hydraulic cooler. Good idea, neat little male port, very accessible; but the service manual does not identify the port. Does anyone know what "diagnostic coupler", as it...

Bobcat Hydraulic X-Change - one pin does not retract on low hour E35i

At about 75 hours I am just now getting around to using the x-Change... Only one of the two pins retracts. I am in for a trip to the dealer tomorrow for their fix unless someone can recommend a solution. I have avoided taking a sledge hammer to it at these low hours. I did use a heavy block...

    E35 hydraulic filter change - 50 hours

While the hydraulic fluid and hydraulic filter are scheduled to be changed at 1000 hrs on the E35, after the first 50 hours and then every 500 hours the Hydraulic Filter and Case Drain Filter and Hyd Reservoir Breather cap are to be changed according to the schedule. So at 50 and 500 hours the...

E35i - grease for Swing Pinion & Circle (ring gear) ???

Service manual for E35i specifies "Extra Heavy Gear Shield grease" (ref pg. 10-140-3 in the manual & 10-140-1 also). The grease is applied through grease zerks. Bobcat however markets three greases in tubes for std grease guns, none as specified above. One dealer recommends the grey grease...

Remove teeth on E35 for farm work?

For farm use in light soil I am thinking about removing the teeth from the 24" bucket on an E35. This should improve grading and ditch cleaning. I still will want to do some excavation with this bucket; but have a 16" bucket for tough digging. What are the pros and cons?
