Kubota SVL75-2 tracks to the left

Changed final drive oil, no shiny particles. The tracks appeared to be tensioned correctly. But the left/lazy side did make noises. We suspected a possible bad idler dragging the track down. Removing the track, the grease shot out from this side. This track was over tensioned for sure. While...

Kubota SVL75-2 tracks to the left

We recently purchased a Kubota svl75-2 with just under 900 hours. It went out on rent as soon we got it. It's back now with the left side drive is really lagging. The right is fine. It requires constant corrections and slows the machine down. Not sure if anyone has any ideas or has a service...

Insurence for renting out mini ex

bob_00. Please research the American Rental Association. I'm pretty sure they operate in Canada. It's your best resource for rental related questions and they have an Insurance Company. (At least in US) They have seen almost everything possible. PM me with questions or reply here.

    Deere 35D trouble starting

I would replace the fuel solenoid. We have a Deere 17D that was increasingly difficult to start. The way I understand the solenoid, it requires higher voltage at startup and lower voltage to continue working. We changed the solenoid and works like new. The part number looks like M810324 for...

    Anybody run a Bobcat E60

The lag in Bobcat E50 is most likely due to E-H controls. Electric over hydraulic controls. Fly by wire. Most manufacturers are going this way. As far as I can tell the Deere 60D and newer 60G are true pilot controls. Hydraulic over hydraulic controls, very smooth. My vote would be for Deere.

Bobcat X331 leaks around and inside turntable

We had a Bobcat 425 with a leaking slew gearbox. The pic attached shows how the motor sits on the gearbox. The gear box is lubed by the hydraulic motor intentionally leaking into the gearbox. The gearbox has a line running back to the hydraulic tank. The seal on the bottom of the gearbox was...

Grapple attachment on John Deere 319d

Grapple bucket may have a check valve. Designed to hold the grapple position even if the pressure drops, keeping the grapple tight on what you have clamped. Do you have the grapple closed tight ? Maybe try opening a little and turning the machine off. With the machine off try togggling the...

JCB Fluids & Fuel for Mini Excavator

Any reasoning behind the the oil? I really don't think you are going to hurt anything with the 15W40 oil if you run it until the next oil change. Oil viscosity is resistance to flow. Lower numbers flow easier. Number before the W is cold weather viscosity. Using 5W over 15W would be lighter...

JCB Fluids & Fuel for Mini Excavator

Fuel is diesel from the pump. All ultra-low sulfur these days. You could go back to the 10W30 or 5W20 at the next oil change if the dealer just changed it. Don't use synthetic if it doesn't have synthetic now. Don't mess with all the track rollers/idlers unless they have grease fittings. They...

Buying a JCB 8018 Mini Excavator Thoughts Comments?

JCB 8018 is a small machine. Limited uses but if it suits your needs that's great. JCB is from UK with increasing dealer network here (local dealer is important). If the place you're buying it sells JCB they should throw in the door and glass or at least get you a deal. Grading bucket may over...

HEF members attending the ARA show in Orlando

Any forum members attending the Rental Show at the end of February in Orlando. Just curious. I will be there looking at the latest and greatest. LOL. I like the opportunity to meet directly with factory reps. They really enjoy it when you tell them that their ideas don't work in the real world.

    First Time Buyer

Opened my own rental business in 2010. Join the ARA (American Rental Association). Get ARA insurance. Liability is huge in this business due to not only damage to equipment but people hurting themselves. What do you do currently? What's your background? Can you fix them if broken? What's...

    Bobcat T650 vs Kubota SVL75-2

My vote is for the Bobcat. Years more experience in the market. Test drive them both if you can. Try out the lift capacity if that's important to you. Maybe unloading sod or landscape materials. Last time I bought a Bobcat they had one year full warranty and 3year/3000 hour engine warranty...
