Pumping muck from deep hole (old well)

I’d like to use the water for horses & garden eventually You think a sump pump would remove the mud if I stirred it up some? Although it’d be hard to get leverage that deep in a 4 1/2 foot wide hole

Pumping muck from deep hole (old well)

Anyone have advice to suck out mud & sand from 17 foot dug well? The well is at least 100 years old, very nicely done. I’d rather do it myself but will hire a vacuum truck if I have to. 14 feet to top of muck about 3+ feet muck I appreciate any help, Tm

Who uses a skid steer only at home?

That would drive me to distraction alright. I bless my luck so far the neighbors are good... I bought a New Holland L555 a couple years ago for home use.. love it. The perkins diesel has been flawless.. If you have land that needs work ... a TLB, a skid steer, a golf cart (or utv) and various...

    help with a ls170

Thanks for jumping in, I think he's saying the other end is disconnected, but the round thing is siezed... I'm guessing it's the pin .. but hard to tell from the pictures... :)

    help with a ls170

In your top picture the round thing is the pin.. You removed a bolt from there..yes? I'm not familar with your machine, but pins can be tough to remove... first make sure there isn't any locking bolt still in place... your picture isn't very helpful... once you are POSITIVE there is no other...

    help with a ls170

You have the pin out right? So the bushing is siezed to it? I guess we need to know what is siezed to what. If it's the bushing, cut it out and install a new one durring reassembly? If it's something else...? By lift cylinder you mean boom cylinder? (a link to Messicks...

    help with a ls170

Bummer.. :( What ever it takes is how you get it off... jacks, pullers, heat. Try to take any tension off it (jacks, prying tools) and don't give up. The trick is to remove the tension. Should you give up, the local HE repair shop might get it freed up in 10-20 minutes..;)

This is so crazy its sad!

I'm in auto repair, most of the repair shops around me are hanging onto their business on a week to week basis.. We all charge a fair mark up and it's in line with what has been posted in this thread... we have to. It's that simple, if we charge more we plss off our customers, if we charge less...

    Neighbor made me sick.

Like Komatsu 150 said here. When you sell an item.. that item still exists.. but when it's melted there's nothing to prove it existed, or what it was anyway... He might not have to rights to,( or ownership of) to sell that eqipment. Of course he might not like you.. try not to feel too...

Looking at a New Holland L555

I was looking through some older threads and ran accross this one of mine. I never updated here on the problem with my L555. The coupler (#12 in attached image) for the engine to transmission broke. I ordered a new one from Messicks. I spent one afternoon, removed the transmissions, used 14...

I stepped right in it this time- Takeuchi tb 135

I'm sitting here trying to figure out if I could get the cover off and block off enough of the intake filter box to smoother the air flow on the Kubota.. probably not. On the NH L555 it should be easy.. unless I was on my back... that would be tough. Of course just getting my fat outta shape...

Hour Meters - How do they work?

I had an older J.Deere tractor that ran the hour meter off the RPM's, I'd use it for 5 hours and it would show about three and a half hours. The Kubota I have now is like a clock ie: one hour = one hour

Looking at a New Holland L555

As an added note... the L555 acted up on me after a few weeks of hard satisfactory work. It started vibrating a little today (like the hydraulic pump was cavitating?) and the hydraulics (the boom) made it worse. I checked the fluid, it was foamy and a little low. I added a couple gallons (to...

Looking at a New Holland L555

:D I left the tree attached, that made it much easier. It took a couple hours digging, when I made it all the way around, (after a little rocking) I pushed it over. Once the tree was down, it was cut up and a ramp was made so I could pull the stump out of the hole. ;)

Looking at a New Holland L555

It's been a while since I've posted here. Just to update on my farm Skid Steer ;) It's been super for loader work. I've filled in many stump removal holes (big stumps) in half the time the tractor would take..it's great to dig with my backhoe, then jump in the skid steer and push dirt and...
