    Building fire breaks with CTL

That might work on most of it but there's some light to heavy brush areas that need to be pushed as well.

    Building fire breaks with CTL

These breaks usually either get a dozer scraping across the ground or a maintainer. I've seen other places use offset discs. I can use whatever I need to do a good efficient job. You think an offset will be better than the dozer?

    Building fire breaks with CTL

Yes they'll be bare strips of ground 15-20' wide, following roads or fences inside a ranch. They can either be stripped smooth, or tilled 2" or so on the surface. Currently, some rock, sparse grass on it etc.

    Building fire breaks with CTL

Oh I know I can with the 90, just curious what attachment might be best for this application, and be efficient. I was looking at maybe landplanes with a scarifier? Seems to do good with and grass.

    Building fire breaks with CTL

Yeah, JNB said maybe a Harley take too...I'm not familiar with them, would it still work if there's a little rock occasionally? Or how about if there's grass?...Does the grass need to be sparse? Would need only 1 more pass with skid steer vs dozer. Downside is I'm not familiar enough with...

    Building fire breaks with CTL

Bidding a job for 16 miles of fire breaks, was going to use dozer but don't think I can pull that off. I wanted to use the CTL or 2 of them to build the breaks, just curious to see how you'd go about doing that and what attachment would be best. Breaks have been built before, so the ground is...

Need new tracks for a Takeuchi TL 130- which brand to use?

I really like the Trelleborg tracks I got, C lug pattern, very aggressive tread. They do tear up the ground more than the OEM tracks...But in my line of work that doesn't matter, rather have the traction. I paid about $1700 for them, again exempt, no tax.

looking for a land leveler or rake

Best thing I've ever used for prepping for seedbed and final grades on houses is a Skeleton style rock bucket, I can break up clumps of dirt really nice. Teeth down, or bottom of bucket down front tipped just a little, the dirt just breaks up and sloughs over the edge while back dragging...

Too many hours on telehandler?...help JCB and lull

Should I liquid fill all 4? Or just the rear? I can't see how the fronts would matter? The foam is pretty expensive and for my work I really don't need the foam.

Too many hours on telehandler?...help JCB and lull

Awesome thanks for the advice I appreciate it. My thought on the tires was to transport little easier as far as weight goes is to liquid fill only the rear, and air the fronts. That way they still act as counterweight on the rear, unless I should in the front too for a reason?

Lull 644D-34...might buy, any thoughts on these?

    I'm guessing it's 34' reach....info online has it varying from 34-39'?

Lull 644D-34...might buy, any thoughts on these?

I found a pretty descent looking 1999 Lull 644D-34 for sale, about 4600 hours on it. Has receipts of a lot of hoses and seals that have been replaced. Tires are foam filled but tread is nearly smooth so I'm gonna put new tires on it. Ive rented a bit of telehandlers, but no experience in...

Too many hours on telehandler?...help JCB and lull

Thanks for the input, I'm really leaning towards the lull, just found out the boom slides forward almost 8' and it has a hydraulic tilt on the forks themselves. It's a very clean well kept machine....maybe tires in the next year. I'm gonna look at it this week it's advertised at $21,500...

Too many hours on telehandler?...help JCB and lull

I'm looking into a 1999 lull 39' 6k# telehandler with about 4600 hours on it, the machine is very descent looking and a lot of seals and hoses recently replaced. The other is a 1997 JCB 36' 6k# telehandler with 4900 hours on it. Very clean 1 owner machine. My question is what would...

    Best trailer for bobcat t630

Get either a lowboy gooseneck with dovetail and fold down ramps. Or a dump trailer...I'm going to sell my lowboy and get a dump, much more useful. Stick with load trail, you'll be very glad you did, very well built trailers. You're in the Houston area, theres a trailer manufacturer in...

Company graphics and window tint on CTL...let's see them!

Thank you, I don't remember, I just did whatever was truck legal here. I'm thinking about taking it to a different tint place and having them install the ceramic tint(doesn't transfer heat).

Rear bumper/gaurd on CTL or ssl?

Thanks for all the great input and pics, I haven't had quite enough time to start on mine but gathering some good info. I'll prob start doing some renderings of a style I'm thinking of. I know I'll have a receiver but still debating if I want to actually mount the winch direct to it.

    Rock bucket advice needed

I've used that style and would never buy one. Those tines bent all over the place. I ended up buying a skeleton style rock bucket. The teeth/tines are all tied together and I've yet to bend any of it. Much better for not just rock but preparing a seedbed, brush clearing of certain things and...

Rear bumper/gaurd on CTL or ssl?

Thanks for the info and ideas. I'm hoping maybe I'll have a little time in a few months to get something put together.

    Trelleborg CTL Rubber Tracks?

So far I really like mine but have only been using it on wet/muddy ground lately from weeks of rain. If the ground is a little damp they'll tear it up just driving straight. I got mine 3 months ago and only took the dealer 3 days to get them in.
