    Seems to me when I did the 466 in my 892 there was a different head and valves for a turbo intercooled engine. Tore mine down and rebuilt wasn’t that expensive compared to a rebuilt exchange motor. John

    Use a wire or probe and push in at the notch as you pull up. It’s a safety catch so headrest doesn’t fly out if in a crash. One on each of the two rods. John

    When working on my 590SL the diodes all 7 where located under the instrument panel on right side. The wiring and wire colours are different between the three SL series. John

    EX120-3 = JD 490E

    Just did my JD892 glass. Same thing stiff rubber seal. Glass in gasket first start the gasket into frame and used a screwdriver to work gasket over edge. Was a challenge but worked out ok. Worked best with two people. John

    If it’s a 466 jd engine had mine crack the head and pull down the rad level. No notice of water in oil or change in exhaust smoke. Would drink a gallon a day working. John

    Thanks for the replies. Found a local company TRK Attachments that has what appears to be a better built ripper. Atleast they have printed brochures and say what their hooks are made of. John

    Want a frost hook/ripper for my JD 892 DLC to root out tree stumps. Usually dig them out with the bucket but the oak stumps leave a big hole that takes forever to fill and stop settling. Have maybe 50 stumps and don’t want to buy the farm for a ripper. See SEC’s for around $2K and was wondering...

    Tried to buy a skeleton bucket for my JD 892 three times online with Ritchie. Three different sales same picture of bucket had it each time at last second, auction closed and was notified I was not the successful bidder. Pretty sure Ritchie was covering their butts. John

    Just to clarify I’m talking the rubber boot/cover on top of rotary manifold that keeps water out of the center pivot gear area. John
