I have Terex pt 50 that won’t start

On my PT50, it won’t crank if the continuous hydraulic flow switch is “on”.

    Overfill!

good point; never really thought about that. Just a personal use skidsteer

    Overfill!

My hydraulic tank in my skidsteer is over the full mark, but all of my cylinders are retracted. If they were all fully extended and it was over the “full” mark, I’d take some out…..

    Cat 297C running rough

Make sure you didn’t put gas or contaminated fuel in. Only way to really “check” this is to drain the fuel, put a new filter on, then put good fuel in. It’s a pain, but i’d try that first. Might be a simple solution

Bobcat 331 Temp Light and Buzzer Erratic

I’m no mechanic, but if everything is actually running fine, then just keep the buzzer unplugged and put some duct tape over the light. That would be my “fix”, at least.

Need help with excavator stalling out

I’d start with the basics - check for fuel, and then clogged fuel filters.

    bobcat S770

If you are in the US, liens and such are generally recorded in the County where the owner of the equipment resides. County records are usually searchable online; if not, can go to the County Courthouse and do a manual search. Unfortunately it’s not a foolproof method if the lien was recorded...

    Prepare thy equipment............

What i started using last year around the house are glue traps - the larger ones (maybe 6”x3”). i just lay them on the floor in areas where mice travel (next to the wall) or where they visit. I don’t even bait them. Caught about ten in the house in the Spring , then pretty quiet during the...

Hitachi ex75ur won't turn off by key

The one I used to have would occasionally not shut off with the key. I would just idle down, the stall it out when the key would not work.

    Bobcat T770 with Forestry Cutter/Using V Plow

can’t answer your question, but why not just ask the dealer why he says that it is necessary to do. Maybe the forestry door guards will fill up with snow? Basically, if everything works properly and there are no clearance issues, it’s your equipment and you can do whatever you want with it.

    Mice Issues

had mice chew up the wiring in my overhead console of my skidsteer. Started putting dryer sheets (like Bounce) stuffed into the console after it was fixed. Never had anymore issues. Peppermint oil is supposed to keep them away too, but that evaporates and has to be reapplied; expensive...

Terex PT30 Battery light always on...

have an ASV PT50 purchased new in 2009. Dealer had a quick connect on the battery; said to keep it disconnected when not running because it would discharge for sone unknown reason. He turned out to be correct. Alternator always put out the proper charge though. Replaced the alternator...

    Treeline maintenance

Rent a skidsteer with a forestry mulcher, or hire someone who has one. Would only need to do it every five years or so, so probably not worth it to buy one

    943 question

I have an ASV PT50 that had a similar issue maybe two winters ago.....may not apply to your situation, but I’ll pass it along just in case. Mine started and ran fine while warming up. After running it at speed for maybe 15 minutes (snow blowing), it started to lug. Did that a few times...

John Deer 250 bucket lift problem

not sure how long you operated it after fixing it, but there’s a possibility that there’s some air in the system. Maybe work the hydraulics for a good twenty minutes or so to see if that clears it up. Make sure that the new hose is on tight.

Kubota SVL 90-2 Chugging & Skipping

This may sound overly simplistic, but could the fuel itself be contaminated? Maybe drain the existing fuel, change the filters, and put fresh fuel in. I mention this because one time I accidentally added gasoline to my diesel tractor. It idled fine, but under load/increased rpms it ran...

2005 257B cab controls and starting issue

https://www.trackloaderparts.com/caterpillar-257b-free-manuals/ For the starting issue, go through and make sure all if your wiring connections are clean and tight, including any ground wires.

    Smoking loader

when you had it delivered, did it start and run ok when you drove it off the trailer and parked it? If so, was the engine cold when it got to your place on the trailer?

Leaving a grapple attached while on the safety pins

not sure if this would work on a skidsteer, but I had a battery problem one time with my whole house propane generator. Battery is a pain to access to check the voltage quickly and easily, so I bought some three foot long battery cables, hooked them to the battery, and ran the other ends to...
