    D9 & D10T Aussie style

    Its a small Iron Ore Mine in Western Australia. We run a PC1250 and 785-5 Dump Trucks. Also a 16H, WA600 feeding the crusher and another WA600 to do odd jobs like the tiphead and a peice of crap Moxy MT41 Watercart. Lets not go there. Although it's not huge gear, it a pretty sweet gig.

    The D7R Ripper looks set back a bit further than the standard one. I like it. I've aways throught that if the ripper was set back a bit further it would do a better job. Interesting.

    I'll second that, with all the technology these days, GPS, Lasers and what ever else they come up with, there are not many grader operators left at all. Alot will say they can do it but put them in the seat and they haven't a clue.

    Yeah its at Jack Hills Do i know you? The blade is up so the service man could tighten the cutting edge bolts, thats on the 9, The ripper is up on the 10 so i could have a look underneath a bit easier and yep, i'm bad for leaving the door open. We all make stuff ups every now and again...

    Yep she certianly does. This picture was taken just before Christmas 07. The tracks were replaced on Christmas Eve 07 and are due for another set at the moment. Iron Ore just eats them away

    Yep no worries There fire suspression tanks filled with foam. There's two of them, one either side and a heap of sprays in the engine compartment. Hopefully won't have to use them any time soon!

    is there such a thing?

    Way back when........... As far as i can remember, and i'm only a young bloke, They did make a D12 back when the high track first came in. But they remaned the whole fleet and the D12 then became the new D11. Some of the old timers might know a bit more about the whole process.
